Message from artists

Working with Coppé has been an absolute joy ever since I first met her in New York! Her infectious spirits are second only to her positive nature, and all of the above transpire through her music and her attitude. She’s a true pioneer of her genre in Tokyo and one of the most dedicated, passionate and humble people I have ever met! She’s also an artist who never stops exploring and always keeps pushing her own boundaries, never stands still or leans back into the comforts of the familiar and rather always chooses the uncharted territory and the path that will offer her the greatest chance of becoming an even more multifaceted, eclectic, versatile, interesting and ground breaking musician and human being!

Working with Coppé is always a wonder. She is open to and excited by the possibilities of almost everything, on every project, every time. She is inspiring and encouraging, in words and deeds. From a creative perspective, this is gold-dust.

Coppe un-tweaked!
I've had the good fortune to make music with Coppe for many years now and I'm very happy the world can now hear the un-tweaked jazz version of Coppe. It was inevitable from the time we all heard her sing a jazz standard.

It’s always a blast to play good music with good friends! Coppe has a completely unique and natural way of singing which makes accompanying her voice a fun challenge for me. Hiro’s guitar sound is very soothing and Jeff’s bass playing keeps it all together. It was a lot of fun to make this record and hopefully that is conveyed in the sound.

In terms of fearless boundary pushing, there is simply no other artist comparable to Coppe. This album was a cosmic minded process of evolution and adaptation, full of moody vibes and a colorful jazzy palette.
